Aging is a natural phenomenon that inevitably affects us all, and through BHRT, Optimal Bio seeks to mitigate the negative effects of aging and other medical issues, including fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, depression, diabetes, headaches, and osteoporosis. We spoke to CEO Tylar Brannon to learn more.

Tell us about your background and involvement with Optimal Bio.

I grew up in Cary, NC, and attended N.C. State University for my undergraduate degree before pursuing my J.D. and MBA at the University of South Carolina and eventually entering the medical space as CEO of Optimal Bio. I’ve had the opportunity to grow Optimal Bio across four (soon to be five) states, improving the lives of thousands of patients and reaching more communities every year. Working with my incredible team of professionals who, like myself, are committed to growing individually and as a team, we’ve increased the overall patient count every year with an impressive 97% retention rate. I live the Optimal Bio mission and genuinely believe that we are improving people’s health and improving their lives.

How and why did Optimal Bio get started?

Optimal Bio’s medical director, Dr. Greg Brannon, worked as an OBGYN for decades and saw his patients suffering from a wide range of symptoms with no real answers. He became frustrated with the industry’s band-aid approach to fixing these problems, never addressing the root cause. Thus, Dr. Brannon became interested in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) in 2012 and has been researching BHRT and the numerous vital functions hormones play in the body ever since. He tried BHRT himself and found the results so astounding that he decided to move on from his 30-year career as a private practice OBGYN to start Optimal Bio in 2012 to revolutionize health by treating the root causes of mass medical issues. In 2018, I assumed the role of CEO. Since then, I have grown the medical company to nine locations across the South, Florida and Texas. I firmly believe in Optimal Bio’s mission and work to embody it by building a team of talented people, creating a recognizable brand that people can trust for sound medical advice and providing personalized treatment that enhances lives.

Explain to our readers what Optimal Bio does.

Optimal Bio specializes in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). Hormones are the foundation of our health, and BHRT is the exact molecule our body produces, so it knows how to use and metabolize it like our own. Testosterone, estrogen and progesterone each have over 300 functions in our body. Optimal Bio utilizes this treatment with a dosage tailored to each body’s unique needs to address underlying problems and offer a sustainable, long-term solution.

What is the importance of BHRT, and what benefits does it offer in the ageing process?

As we age, our hormones decrease, and because of environmental factors, they decrease quickly. Testosterone, estradiol, and progesterone each have over 300 functions in our body; when there aren’t enough, our bodies will not work correctly. The top reasons why patients visit Optimal Bio are symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, sleep issues, anxiety, and depression. Still, BHRT also acts as a preventative treatment, which may help protect the brain from dementia, the heart from heart attacks, and bones from osteoporosis.

What can clients expect when looking into getting BHRT treatment at Optimal Bio?

At Optimal Bio, we prioritize the patient-provider relationship. Our BHRT process is incredibly thorough, starting with a pre-appointment call to address any questions or concerns and continuing with unlimited follow-ups, free bloodwork,  and personalized dosages. We are committed to ensuring that each patient's experience is as close to perfect as possible. Our goal is for patients to feel heard and empowered, equipped with the knowledge to advocate for their own healthcare needs.
