No one spins a little holiday magic quite like Dolly Parton. So, Kingston Resorts in Myrtle Beach is bringing Dollywood a little closer to home this season. Inspired by America's sweetheart and her love for the Christmas spirit, Happy Dolly-days will provide a glam family holiday retreat until Dolly's birthday on January 19, 2023.
From glammed-up Dolly-themed suites to Queen of Country-inspired food to Dollyed-up cocktails, a host of festivities are rocking the rooftops this holiday season. The iconic star, well known for all things festive, will be showcased at Kingston Resorts in a month-long Dolly theme.
Within a community on the north end of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Kingston Resorts consists of a 145 lush acres that house condominiums, villas, and hotels nestled between winding paths, majestic live oaks dripping in Spanish moss, lake views, and a pristine white sandy beach. Kingston Resorts recently went through a $65 million upgrade and renovation. The multi-property beachfront resort destination is welcoming guests to fully refurbished hotel rooms, immaculate suites, and large comfortable meeting spaces at Embassy Suites and Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort.
The beautiful, coastal-centric suites at the Embassy Suites offer guests unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean and miles of beach. The Grand Strand is the hotel's largest suite with two private balconies. The bedroom has a luxurious king-sized bed, a separate living area with a dining table and chairs, a wet bar, and a queen-sized sofa bed. The Happy Dolly Days suites are each decked out in rhinestones, a glittering pink Christmas tree and wreath, festive lights, and Dolly artwork. Each suite also features take-home goodies, including a Dolly Parton-themed tote, Dolly's famous sugar cookie recipe, chocolate-covered cherries, and drink tickets for Dolly Parton cocktails and mocktails.
A vast pool area has been outfitted with hot tubs, firepits. 28 cabanas and 350 lounge chairs, besides two waterparks with slides and dunk buckets. Kids will be able to pour their own Christmas "cups of ambition" by writing letters to Santa over Dolly Duncan Hines cookie decorating classes, sipping hot chocolate, making s'mores over the fire, and watching Dolly Christmas movie classics like Unlikely Angel, A Country Christmas Story and Christmas of Many Colors, out by the new grand pool.
The soon to be opened Black Drum Brewing restaurant, with its modern design, hints of nautical décor, high-vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows, offers diners a menu focused on coastal Carolina cuisine and 40 local beers on tap. Dolly-inspired cocktail specials and Dolly's Table Sunday Suppers will be served during Happy Dolly-days. The menu will consist of a few of Dolly's favorite Southern dishes, including Carolina gold BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, collard greens, roasted potatoes, southern cornbread, and Dolly's famous walnut pie. The fun Dolly-themed cocktails will include Jolene (bourbon, triple sec, half & half, simple syrup, cinnamon stick, & pomegranate), Winter Wonderland (rum, pineapple, cream coconut, blue carousel, club soda), Cherry Blossom (Aperol, cranberry juice, prosecco, club soda, orange slice, a fresh cranberry, & rosemary) and Fa-lly Dolly (Bailey's, Godiva, vodka, & crushed peppermint).

"With the final phase of our property-wide renovation officially complete, we knew we had to blow this holiday season out of the water," said Bob Barenberg, managing director of Kingston Resorts. "Not only is Dolly Parton a country music legend, but she also's a philanthropist, inspires love and happiness in everything she does, and brings the season's cheer like no one else. So there will be a lot of Dolly magic going on at Kingston Resorts these next few months, which we hope will be the start of a new holiday tradition for our guests."
